GAZETTE NEWSPAPER The Magnolia Gazette was established in 1872 by Captain J.D. Burke. It is Pike County's oldest newspaper as well as the oldest business. It is a family owned publication and has won dozens of State Press awards as well as National recognition. It is dedicated to Pike County and its small communities. The Gazette publishes monthly focuses on Osyka and Summit, called the Osyka Eagle and the Summit Sentinel.
